Cyber threats do not recognize borders, and neither should our defenses. As the digital landscape evolves, cross-border collaboration becomes essential in strengthening cybersecurity resilience. In line with this mission, CR14 has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bergische Struktur- und Wirtschaftsförderungsgesellschaft mbH, marking the beginning of a strategic partnership between Estonia and Germany to advance cybersecurity innovation.
The Partnership: Strengthening Regional and International Cybersecurity
The Bergische Struktur- und Wirtschaftsförderungsgesellschaft mbH is a public entity based in Solingen, Germany, acting as a key driver of regional economic development and cybersecurity capacity-building. Its goal is to enhance cybersecurity competencies, particularly for SMEs and critical infrastructure, creating protection strategies that serve as a model for North Rhine-Westphalia and beyond. CR14, with its expertise in cyber range training and defence innovation, will work alongside Bergische Struktur- und Wirtschaftsförderungsgesellschaft to develop and execute joint Cyber Range Exercises. These exercises will simulate real-world cyber threats, improve defensive capabilities, and foster international knowledge exchange between cybersecurity professionals in Estonia and Germany.
Why This Matters?
In today’s digital battlefield, cyberattacks are increasingly sophisticated and target businesses, infrastructure, and national security assets. This collaboration ensures that cybersecurity preparedness remains a priority, equipping organizations with the tools, knowledge, and training to mitigate cyber risks effectively. Through joint Cyber Range Exercises, participants will: Experience real-world cyber threat scenarios and test their response capabilities. Enhance collaboration between Estonian and German cybersecurity experts. Strengthen cyber resilience for SMEs and critical infrastructure organizations. Explore the latest cyber defence strategies and innovations.
A Commitment to Innovation and Security
Commenting on the partnership, Silver Andre, CEO of CR14, stated: “Cyber threats do not recognize borders, and neither should our defences. By joining forces with Bergische Struktur- und Wirtschaftsförderungsgesellschaft, we are not just enhancing cyber resilience but building a network of trust, expertise, and shared innovation. Legacy software is the backbone of many defence and security systems. While these systems were once at the forefront of innovation, they now present a significant challenge: how do we modernize mission-critical tools without disrupting their functionality or compromising security? At CR14, we don’t just ask these questions—we find the answers.
